The brief was to develop a high-impact visual concept for Defender Peak Edition, positioning the vehicle at the summit of Victoria Peak in Hong Kong, a location defined by elevation, contrast and perspective. The aim was to create a striking composition that resonates with a new generation of urban drivers who value both off-road capability and refined modern design.

The concept centres on the contrast between natural terrain and dense cityscape. Set against the panoramic skyline, Defender is grounded within rugged rock formations and natural greenery, reinforcing its ability to move beyond the urban environment while remaining relevant within it. The elevated viewpoint creates a sense of clarity and control, placing the vehicle at the intersection of landscape and lifestyle.

The creative challenge was to deliver a cinematic yet believable execution. Careful attention to terrain, scale and environmental interaction ensured the vehicle sits naturally within the scene, while lighting was crafted to balance atmospheric depth with foreground texture.

A single, detailed backplate supported multiple executions across two colourways, Carpathian Grey and Santorini Black, with the portfolio showcasing Carpathian Grey. The composition was designed to hold across both three-quarter front and side views, maintaining consistency across all outputs.

Working closely with the global CGI team, the vehicle was seamlessly integrated into the environment. Precise calibration of reflections, materials and surface interaction ensured a cohesive result, reinforcing Defender’s strength and purposeful design.

The final deliverables included CGI stills and animated assets for social platforms, all derived from a single scalable visual system. The result is a confident and contemporary expression of Defender, positioned above the city where capability meets modern urban life.
